I'm totally surprised by the area north of the arctic circle. Never thought they would be found in cold water.

Not so cold - that's where the Gulf Stream goes!
Plus, having checked, as of 2 February 2016, the arctic circle runs 66°33′46.1″ N = well outside of that map!

Looks like it - offshore, likely where their prey has migrated to!

I'm officially an idiot. I actually looked at that part of the map that showed the area west of the UK and thought I was looking at west of Norway!..... that's why I'm not the navigator on our boat ;-)
